Note: I don’t use geolocation functions in my cameras, most haven’t.
The location metadata created under Lightroom have not been imported, their IPTC compliance is not correct I suppose.
Alas, as I have read here and seen by myself, managing the locations with digiKam is painful. I would have to create as many templates as geographic locations.
I have located the file templates.xml, whose structure seems simple to understand. I would like to complete it “by hand”, to find my templates without spending hours there.
Has anyone ever manipulated this file in text mode? Did digiKam load it properly?

Edit 2024-12-16: I tried after saving the file template.xml. It’s perfect, I can add the tags I want, digiKam reads them without problems.
I’m going to be able to recreate my location database and apply it to the catalogue images just by dropping the list.
