SOLUTION: I found the setting: Configure > Miscellaneous > Behaviour > disable Enable background face recognition scan.
I must have some setting wrong, but I can’t figure out which one. I have set “Scan new images”, detection accuracy of 10, face size as large and recognition accuracy at 7.
I am in the early stages of scanning and assigning people tags to my collection, and the issue I have is that after the face scanning has completed and the user interface says there are no processes running, the moment that I confirm a people tag suggestion the face scanning starts all over again of my whole library. I am aware that I can change the scope and set it to only a part of my library, but my question is why should the scanning automatically start again without me clicking “Scan for Faces”?
