Hello all,
I cannot find the "Repair Scanned Document " filter anymore. Was it removed or did the name changed? I am using GIMP 2.10.20 and GMIC 2.9.2
Thank you in advance for your help !

@Oby Welcome to the forum! I still see it. Did you successfully update your filters?
Alternatively, you could try my recent Clean Text filter. @Iain’s filters might be helpful too.
If you would like, please drag-and-drop a sample. Perhaps we can help further.
@afre Thank you for the quick reply!! I am not able to update the filter, I am having an error. I think maybe because my windows username contains a “ç”
I updated it manually but it didn’t make a difference. I have 395 filters available (before and after update), not sure if this is the right number ?
You should have 500+ filters. If you updated manually, you may have to restart GIMP and the plugin. Regarding the c-cedilla, let’s ping @David_Tschumperle.
@afre Thanks! I did restart gimp and it did not help… I replaced the file update242 in the app data folder with this one : http://gmic.eu/update242.gmic
Seemed like it was the correct procedure right ?
I happen to have update293.gmic
. Should make little difference since Repair… filter is an old one. Some people have had more success reinstalling GIMP and G’MIC altogether.
I was able to fix the issue by replacing the “ç” by a “c”. I followed this procedure for those who might be in the same situation as I was :
Source : How to rename the User folder in Windows 10? - Super User
After that I restarted GIMP and I have now 548 filters instead of 395. Including the Repair Scan Document filter. It might be worth to fix the issue in an upcoming update ?
Anyway thanks for your help!
