Some cropped images don't initially show cropped in the File Browser

Filed as Bitbucket Issue #291, with sample images and sidecars attached

ART 1.19.3, Windows 11

Some cropped images are not initially shown as cropped on their File Browser thumbnails. If the image is opened* in the Editor and then again the thumbnail is viewed the File Browser, the crop is shown. This doesn’t happen for every cropped image, but definitely for some.

* Clarification – I just tested and simply opening a cropped image in the Editor and then returning to the FB is not enough to trigger the crop indicator. However, disabling & re-enabling the Crop tool will make it subsequently visible in the FB.

First viewing of thumbnails, note highlighted images showing no crop:

Looking at the CR3, Navigator in the Editor confirms it’s cropped:

navigator

Returning to the File Browser it now shows cropped (same thing is true for the CR2 below it after I open it):

crop_shown

Nothing earth-shattering, probably just something uninitialized first time around. I restarted ART but no change.

Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks. This should be fixed in master already – I noticed the same a few days ago. It was a regression caused by the new caching logic.
