Some Siril buttons not visible (until mouse-over) with AppImage and default Dark Theme on Linux Mint 21.1

I’ve been using Siril on the Mac for a while now, and am trying to switch over to Linux, and the AppImage versions of both 1.0.6 and 1.2.0-rc1 have some non-visible icons with the default Dark theme of Siril (my Desktop manager theme is not dark, so I don’t think there’s any connection to the general DM theme) because the icon image contents are dark as well:

For example, on the conversion tab:

mouse-overing the icons shows the outline and tooltip of the buttoms, and they are click-able, and changing the Siril UI theme to the “light” theme works round the problem for the moment:

but it would be nice to be able to use the Dark theme really (for use with dark images)…

Buttons are taken from built’in theme. If it not works I think this is because your theme is not complete.
Change to another dark theme and see if it can works. For example, adwaita is a very complete theme. I use it and I have all the buttons.

Thanks…

If I do override the GTK theme just for Siril by running from the command line with the ‘adwaita’ dark theme:

GTK_THEME=Adwaita:dark ./Siril-1.2.0-rc1-x86_64.AppImage

Then things are a bit better:

but arguably still not great in terms of contrast.

I guess this might “just” be an AppImage “integration” issue and I’m simply going to have to find a dark theme that I do get on with in Siril and override it manually…
