some spiderweb from late september

while not a very recent picture i do think that this makes for a great play raw.

when i saw this picture i directly got reminded of the single flaw of compressed raw on the a7III and that’s the purple noise at the corner edges (that’s not there on uncompressed raw)

but also an interesting edit

Hi, newbie here, thought I’d have a shot at it as well.
DT5.4.1

Please feel free to critique the image as well as my workflow:

  1. Exposure: Focus on the central web
  2. Color Calibration: Adjust the white balance. Tried to make the image warmer, that’s probably how gold ended up taking over. While I don’t dislike it, I don’t like how I didn’t manage to tie in the blue sky.
  3. AgX: To tame the blown out sky that came from focussing the exposure on the central spider web.
  4. Tone equalizer: A few small changes to play around in the background vegetation and the sky to a certain degree.
  5. Color Balance RGB: Just playing around a bit to see if I can and want to fix the golden hue.
  6. Details: Cropping and contrast equalizer to really emphasize that one central strand leaving the central spider web to the top right.
