Sony E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II vs Sigma 18-50 2.8

Hi there,

I’ve been hearing so many bad things about the kit lens, but I’ve found that, depending on your purpose and needs, it could be more than enough. It might lack some things, but you’ll gain others like compactness and good detail at closed apertures.

Here is Part I of a series of comparisons I made with the Sigma 18-50 2.8. This one is close to perfect, but it has its issues too. So, if you’re thinking about an upgrade, I recommend watching this video. I will publish the following parts here as soon as they are ready.

By the way, I also leave this here because all the photo comparisson are made using just Darktable which is a very new discovery for me. Hope it helps.

I am interested in the topic, since I own both and have never taken the time to compare them. But I don’t speak Spanish and YT has not generated translated subtitles for this video.
