Stackin' & Stitchin' - how much to do in raw editor beforehand

There is an old thread about stiching the panoramas with workflow dt - Hugin - dt. Hugin pano/HDR + darktable in scene-referred

I’m usually creating the control points manually because it’s more work to clean the automatic control points than creating some half a dozen points per pair. I first export the images as 8 bit tiffs with default modules active and define the control points. Then I disable in dt all modules except lens correction, highlight reconstruction, default noise reduction and diffuse or sharpen (no AA filter) and export the images as 16 bit tiff in Lin Rec2020. The Hugin .pto file is equally valid for the 8 bit and 16 bit images. I do the export twice, because it’s easier to define the control points in full color images than in the “green” non-whitebalanced ones.
