Stacking taking up so much HDD space

Has something recently changed on Siril in regards to stacking and hard drive space?

I’m finding the ‘process’ folder getting huge after stacking. For example a session I did recently uses 13.9Gb spade and the process folder wants well over 120Gb during stacking.

It’s reaching unmanageable levels, I’ll never be able to keep all that across multiple sessions.

Hello, this hasn’t changed much, it depends on what operations you are using on the calibrated images, you can easily multiply by 36 the input data. It’s just how it works, but you don’t need to keep the process directory once you are done with a dataset.

If you try to process your images manually, then it is really easy to manage space disk.

In what way do you mean?

what does that change? you still have as many temporary files to remove

You can control the removal, step by step. Contrary to the script use where you need to remove at the end.
