Steve McCurry exhibition

There is currently an exhibition of Steve McCurry in my town, which I finally managed to go to today. Quite impressive images with very intense colours (which amazed me even more as many were older photos, shot on film). I think I liked the portraits most. The famous one of the “Afghan Girl” is probably the most captivating, but there are many others which are also great.

In case anyone here lives close enough to Tübingen: The exhibition is still running until the beginning of October. I can definitely recommend it.

Little funny oddity at the side: There was a video with Steve McCurry telling a bit about his work. In the end it contained a (way too long) advertisement for Leica, where he told how he already liked the previous model, which he used for years, but now the new one is so great and he can do so much better photos with it with so intense colours and the great autofocus, etc… It was a bit ridiculous, even more though as in the non-advertisement-part of the video, I never saw him using a Leica :D.

I also went to a McCurry exhibition, some 20 years ago. I still remember it. Recommended.
