Suggestion of improvement for +pal

As some of you know, I been working on improving pal command for G’MIC. What I did was:

  1. Rename Amiga to Atari. These Amiga palettes were actually about Atari consoles. The palette one should also be renamed @David_Tschumperle.
  2. Shortened the short id name for easier discovery.
  3. I moved the .gmz files into gmic-community folder within G’MIC appdata. The reason being is that I do plan to make code use temporary folder, and I personally prefer gmic-community appdata to be stored there.
  4. Change the algorithm to reduce hotpath and make the execution time similar to palette. Multiple palettes for pal still has hot path issue, but still within margin of error to palette.

And I’m open to at least few more palettes. There’s 385 palettes, so why not 390 for that matter.

My candidates are:

  1. TRS-80 16 Color Artifact Color Palette
  2. Pixilart Default Palette
  3. Pixel Studio Default Palette Palette
  4. Pixless Palette
