My first thought when I saw this was a tv-show for kids. Something like Teletubbies. So I just went with the flow and added a bit of colours to the image.
Didn’t bother removing the two very white reflections.

I really like your ‘low-key’ interpretation without a tone mapper. A very skilful use of masks and exposure, and the good old colourzone module.

Thanks for the very nice comments Christian, we do not often give nor get them…
I found the masking a challenge and was not 100% satisfied.
With regard to the ‘color zones’ module - which I do like a lot - I’m very grateful to @Popanz who uses it a lot and thus pointed me to it.

Haha what a wild ride! The effect works very well on the bloom, almost looks like that far-too-common “comic style” filter everyone slaps on everything these days (outside of this forum). The rest of the photo is a wild dream though
