Probably the most beautiful sunrise I’ve experienced. Enjoy editing! Let me know if you have any suggestions prior to shooting the photo or to my own edit.
Hey @Lix and welcome to the community. It is customary to post your sidecar file on a play raw, so that others can learn from your edit. If you used something like GIMP or Krita, please detail a bit of what you did.
Also please apply some compression to your output.
Thank you for the friendly welcome and for the help!
I can’t provide a sidecar file because I used my own software to process this. But it’s pretty basic: Increased contrast, slightly increased saturation and zero white balancing.
My play in GIMP (after installing XnConvert to open the raw).
I have attempted to give a slight emphasis to the misty mountains. Also a small increase in colours while, hopefully, keeping a fairly cool rendition.
Forgive me If I may say, I think you tried to capture too many things under very difficult light. IMHO, composition is alway the 1st and the most important thing before taking an image. I tried here to do a quick and dirty way after the capture with cropping. DSCN4939.NRW.xmp (22.7 KB)
