Swan (Taubergießen - Germany)

Hi, my first post here.

I took the picture in Taubergießen (nature reserve near the Rhine in southwest Germany).
From my own experience, I know that with breeding swans, there is no distance to escape, but a distance to defend the nest, and these birds are damn fast!
So far, I’ve mainly used RT to edit RAW-files on Linux - on Windows, I mainly use DXO PhotoLab.
While looking for a program for Linux that works similarly to DXO, I came across RapidRaw. This project was initiated in June 2025, I discovered it in April 2026, and there have been several updates since then. After initial skepticism, this software has completely convinced me - and it gets better with every update.

I’m curious to see what you make of it!

This look clearly means: Don’t come too close to me!!!

Hi Dieter, if you want others to edit your nice photo. you should move it to Play Raw and and state a license. If you open a thread in the category there is already stated this:

Please don’t forget to explicitly state the license you want to release your image with! A common license used here includes something like below:

This file is licensed Creative Commons, By-Attribution, Share-Alike.

You will not see this if you just move the thread
