Syncronice Darktable between two PC

Is there a way for me to work in Darktable from two different PCs and sync all the data in a simple way?

Perhaps search the forums? This subject has come up in the past.

From what I remember, it cannot be done in a simple way

I would presume because all the data is in the xmp sidecar file that is created during editing then just do an import of the images onto the second computer would achieve what you want in a simple fashion. I am presuming maybe sharing an external drive between the two computers would be happening.

Well, “syncing data between two computers” can describe several scenarios. The worst is edits on both computers between syncs : the same image can be changed on both computers. And that situation cannot be solved by any automatic process… Even if that doesn’t happen, having changed images on both computers requires extra steps and more care…

Keeping images (and sidecars) on an external disk might work, if you can guarantee the disk is always mounted at the same point.
