Technical name for "reverse time-lapse"

Is there a technical name for such an image?

(image quality is poor, this was done by ripping frames from a video taken with my phone).

Wouldn’t the “reverse” of a time-lapse be slow motion?

I mean, a time-lapse photograph is actually a motion picture, but the motion here is implied; the photograph is actually still.

I don’t actually have an answer, I just thought I’d inject some pedantry. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve seen this same result using flashes firing multiple times throughout a single exposure, producing a similar result.

In that case the term was usually “stroboscopic”. Maybe something along those lines?

I think Pat nailed it.

Time-lapse composite?

OK, so that will be pseudo-stroboscopic. Thanks all.

Or… double-exposure → triple-exposure → quadruple-exposure → multiple-exposure?
