For months I have been writing metadata directly into the Metadata editor in Darktable - and numerous times forgotten to press the Apply bar before moving the cursor out of the right panel in Lighttable. It happens very easily when busy and reaching out for information elsewhere on the computer. The next second everything written after the last application is gone.
Finally I began to write the fields into Notepad so I can copy and paste into the Metadata editor, when everything is ready.
But isn’t that an unfriendly behavior from an otherwise magnificent raw manager? I think it is.
The tags sticks when entered - so why can’t the metadata be that sticky too?
Am I the only fragile character reacting to this behavior - or have others experienced a likewise sadness over the loss of good metadata?
