The Glasgow Gallery of Photography - Motion & Shape

So yesterday, I went to the Glasgow Gallery of Photography, somewhere I didn’t even know existed.

They do two exhibition themes a month, this month’s being “Shape” and “Motion”. I wondered whether it would be an idea here, a limited time topic to show some retrospective pictures, and as a possible inspiration for new photographs.

Anyway, here are some of mine on “motion”.

Next month’s topics are “Ethereal” and “Identity”.

Funnily enough, I thought the black-and-white one was for “Shape”.
Speaking of shapes, I could suggest:

as for motion, perhaps:

(Not sure how to control the size of an image posted via link-pasting… Sorry.)

Wonder what they’ll come up with for “Ethereal”. I have some kind of grudge against that word because it’s terribly overused in music reviews. I personally almost forbid myself to use it when describing anything art-related.

By the way, I love how one of your runners’ face is oddly sharp when everything around is blurry as hell. Dunno if that was done on purpose but it makes for quite an impactful picture.

It was. My elder daughter, who was running in the same marathon, thought the picture was a little cruel. However, I thought that it told a story.
