The half moon with more or less color

The half moon captured yesterday with my “Russentonne” (MTO 11 CA, 1000mm mirror telephotolens). Developed with darktable.

The first version shows an image with increased color contrast to make the colors of the moon visible. Blue regions, for example, indicate a high titanium content of the surface.

The second version shows a more classic development of the same RAW file.

is that small halo around the colore moon the atmosphere?

Yes, I think it’s light scatter by the atmosphere (of the earth not of the moon :innocent:).
