The One Monitor That Really Matters

Hello, and thank you in advance for either the confirmation or advice you are about to give me. I want up-my-game in regard to the end results of my edits in DT and Gimp. I am currently using a 3 monitor setup and have calibrated all three with DisplayCal. I think my current monitors are calibrated as well as they could be but I also realize that they are very old. All three are Dell U2410 and I think I have has them since 2012 or so. I also think that technology has come a long way since then and I am looking to replace them with either a 27 inch Asus ProArt or a 32 inch Asus ProArt. I will link to these at the bottom. It seems that these have a much better contrast ratio and better gamut coverage than my aging Dell U2410’s. To save myself some money I was considering just replacing one on the Dell monitors with the Asus ProArt and being sure that it is calibrated well and only using that monitor to view what I am editing and using two of the older Dells to flank the Asus monitor and use it for my tool boxes and extra screen space. So, my question is twofold. What does everyone think of the Asus ProArt 27 and or vs the 36? Also, does it really matter that I will use two dissimilar monitors to flank the main editing one? I will calibrate and install the resulting icc profile on each for a D65 white point. If they are a little off on color and white point will the two flanking monitors have too much effect on my vision for the middle Asus ProArt?

I can make no valid comment about the monitors you ask about and will leave that to others. However, I will say that for myself I bought a 43 inch 4K monitor which I have calibrated using DisplayCal. I could not go back to a smaller monitor after going so large. It is a real pleasure to work with. I know not everyone could imagine working with such a large monitor, but it is the best thing I have ever done for my editing besides switching from Lightroom to Darktable.
