The stupidest bird in Britain

Guaranteed to run towards a car heading for them, hence the reason we see so many of them as road-kill

Beautiful though, and very cool shot looking straight into the camera :+1:

Edit.
My version…

Obviously deciding which way to run :scream:

Shortly after I took the shot, it was chased off by a duck. :duck:

Hahaha :joy: But still, ducks can be savage

What a beautiful bird! This version enhances the colors and contrasts of the main subject.

The photo was beautiful before I adjusted anything except Exposure and Color Calibration. The rest of my changes were minor and simple. dt 4.2.1

It looks like this road-kill would make a nice pie.

Here’s my play using filmic V7 in 4.3.0+2296. I moved the highlights saturation slider to the right to add more color to the bird. Filmic V7 might grow on me.

haha, that reminds me earlier today I saw a praire dog sitting straight upright warming his bottom in the tire track area of the freeway onramp, causing me to detour slightly in order to not disturb his meditation.

That’s about the only reason you find them in Britain (or elsewhere in Western Europe): they were/are introduced as game birds, sometimes shortly before the hunting party arrives… ’
