why would this be a bug? in which program?
I have tried to open a 16 bit float tiff in other image viewers - apparently none can do it, only GIMP and Krita could. I think the viewers just cannot open this file type, not even Showfoto (Digikam)
nice dog, btw
and apparenty you have no screen profile in RT (on the contrary to viewnior)
Not all image viewers can display float images. On win10, IrfanView (freeware) can. I am sure that someone here could give you a recommendation for Linux.
My question was:
I didn’t know. I didn’t say that RT is buggy. I just tried GIMP 2.10.8 and it can read it.
Thanks

float in TIFFs isn’t what I’d call ‘mainstream’. I recently expanded rawproc’s TIFF options to read/write float images, but for a specific workflow purpose.
I just saved a float tiff and I tried to open it in the standard Ubuntu viewers: Shotwell, imageviewer, even geeqie, no joy.
