The photographic group in Manchester that I used to be a member of is doing a session on simulating tin type images using Affinity.
Has anyone done a similar thing using one of the tools we discuss here?

Perhaps tackle each element individually? Low DOF, sepia, grain, raised blacks, low contrast, low dynamic range, diffusion (perhaps with D&S), etc?
This got me curious to try and replicate it in darktable alone, it seems possible to create a style that does all of it.
Some of it could be done in camera, the shallow DoF, and underexposure.
This sounds as though it might make a good Play Raw. Looking at the pictures I could find on the net, the majority were portraits. This is something that I do little of, one you have something suitable?
