Trim Video in Natron

I’m new at using Natron Video Editor. I have seen many videos/tutorial for cut/trim any video but can not found any solution for this.

Anyone can give me any tutorial for cut/trim any video?

Thank You

I’m not sure it’s possible since natron is NOT a video editor. It’s compositing software.

Thanks

Natron doesn’t have a layer timeline for you to trim your video clips like Sony Vegas, FCPX or Avid. It does however have nodes like Frame Range in the Time catalog that will allow you to set a start and end of your video/image sequences. There is also another called Append Node that will allow you to fade in and out based on the number of clips piped to the node. See attached images for reference.

Also note that your videos will always be decoded and re-encoded when using Natron.
A video editor may have better strategies and avoid re-encoding parts of the video (just like you would cut an actual photographic film).
I would add Shotcut and Kdenlive to Omar’s list.

The TimeOffset node may be useful too.

Also note that Natron’s Dope Sheet allows to move these effects in time (kind of) easily.
