Two recent experiments @550nm

Took my full-spectrum Pentax K-3 out this spring week with the incomparable DA15mm/f4.0 lens and a 550nm filter. I picked out two shots to subject to a different treatment. You’ll find the before and after of each below.

First, the local village church. The raw file was processed twice with two different LUTs. The resulting images were loaded into Gimp as layers and I then selectively removed parts of the top layer with the eraser tool to end up with multiple tones in the final image. You’ll note that I also corrected the keystoning somewhat with Darktable’s [Rotate] module.

Then on to this triplet of blossom trees somewhere in the neighborhood. On this I used the [Color zones] module to change the light golden hue of the grass resulting from the LUT back to a neon-like greenish tint. I then also applied a light Orton effect to the result with one of Fred’s ImageMagick scripts.
