Un-install 3.2.1 before installing 3.4 ?

I’m preparing to install 3.4, in my Mint 20 system, using a PPA based on the xubuntu 20.04 repository. Should I un-install the version of 3.2.1 I am currently running first? If so, will Synaptic do all that is necessary, or are there some additional actions I should take?

Its always good to make a backup of your settings and database.

Synaptic should take care of the rest. No need to uninstally anything manually that was installed via the package manager, that is the package manager’s job!
