Hi,
I installed Raw Teraphee for the first time but, when open, it doesn’t open to me the external HD where I’ve the photos, without an error message.
On Preferences, in browse panel, if I chose the HHD in the Start Folder I’ve an error:
“Could not read the contents of HD
Error opening directory ‘Volumes/HD’: Operation not permitted”.
Where can I “permitted” the operation?
Thank you
Hi @shalu and welcome!
Are you on Linux? Windows? Mac? Or…?
Version?
Addendum: So sorry - evidently I missed reading the headline
@Claes macOS Catalina.
@shalu can you launch RT from the command line? Catalina has new security permissions for everything. What version of RT?
Oh dear… That strictly means that I am out of the picture.
I just installed now from site; I think it’s the last version.
What it means launch RT from the command line? It’s the terminal?
Thank you for the quick reponse
Can you try this build: https://keybase.pub/kd6kxr/RawTherapee_OSX_10.9_64_5.7-135-g911cc85ff.zip
Ok.
I tried from terminal to launch but the situation is the same: open the internal SSD disk on Mac but not the external one
Now I try this
Reinstalled your build but … nothing.
It only see the internal SSD disk.
I tried with others external drives but it’s unable to open them.
It can see them but not open.
Maybe it’s something related to the security system (permissions). I’ve also unblocked everything in the external volume but it doesn’t work the same
You are correct that it is a Catalina permissions problem. I haven’t updated the house hold Mac yet because of this, so I can’t be much more help.
Perhaps @HIRAM can chime in, or perhaps some Catalina permissions googling can be of help.
I think if you go into System Preferences” on the apple menu, and choose “Security and Privacy”, then on the “Privacy” tab there is “Files and Folders”; there you can add a policy to give the app full disk access.
