Siril 1.4.0 beta4. Tried to use minimum framing method, coupled with undistortion. I am guessing estimation does not take into account undistortion, because in my final frames I can see black borders… Is this a known bug/limitation?
Most framings do not account for undistortion voluntarily, so it’s a known limitation. Otherwise, the registered images would not have the same size and would not stack.
The only case where stacking allows for images not being the same size is maximum stacking which we had to enable for for mosaics. We did not implement the case you have in mind.
I just assumed that minimum framing will calculate the distortions and take them into the calculations as well, causing even more aggressive cropping.
I guess it’s a valid use case, just not smthg we will implement for 1.4. But you can open a ticket to propose this and we’ll try to scope it to a later release.
