I’m using a Pentax DSLR with DA* lenses by Pentax. Unfortunately I don’t find all of those in the lens-correction module of Darktable. In the lensfun databade those lenses are however included, even though without full correction. How can I get Darktable to support the updated database, if that’s possible at all?

You can use the tool lensfun-update-database. The access to this tool depends on the OS you use. Search this forum, there were several threads obout this topic in the past.

You need to install liblensfun-bin (if not already done) to get this tool installed.

The update tool doesn’t work on Windows, but there is an alternative way there, also found by searching the forum.
Re Linux, it also depends how you installed - native package, flatpak, snap…
For the snap, you can run
darktable.lesfun-update-data
