Upgraded to 5.01, all personal styles disappeared

Hello,
I just upgraded to 5.01, and now I see that all personal styles for some reason weren’t taken over from my previous installation.
In the darktable appdata folder I still see all dtstyle files.
What’s the easiest and fastest way to solve this, and will it happen again upgrading to 5.2?

In your darktable config folder there should be a folder named “styles” where all your styles should be in, even that one you once deleted. Have a look, if this folder is still filled with your styles. If so, you can import from there.

Hopefully you find your styles but DT 5.2 has just been released. So maybe update to that and then chase your styles. I update DT each week and never lose the styles so the update process should be innocent. Good luck.

Check if there’s data.db-pre-5.0.1 or a quite recent snapshot of the data.db files your config directory.
You then can duplicate it and rename to data.db so the conversion can be done a second time

It should never happen, so maybe a 5.0.1 bug. If you have a reproducer, do not hesitate to contribute it otherwise it won’t be fixed.
