Want to make the snowcap whiter, but trouble with parametric mask

I have this picture, the snowcap of the mountain looks too blue to me. I tried numerous way to use parametric mask (L, H, C) to select the mountain part only. But the sky behind it is too close to the snow in many ways, I have big trouble to separate sky from snowcap. If I also apply a drawn mask at the same time it is very difficult to align the path just along the edge of the snow, the result looks unnatural if I zoom in to check closely.

Any idea?

I checked the screenshot in GIMP and the RED channel seem to isolate the mountain (the bright parts) very well from the sky. I made a mask out of that channel and then applied to the desaturated copy of the and restricted to the top part of the image. It removed the blue tinge. But difficult to say the exact change due to very low quality of the png file.

Change the white balance to spot and put the spot on the snow cap.

In darktable, it looks like only channel mixer’s parametric mask can use R channel… Let me try it.

White balance module does not have a mask feature. Any change applies to entire picture.
