water is life (Calendula flower with rain drops and fly)

After posting this image I developed a second series from the same flower. Basis were six handheld shots using a Sony FE 70-200mm F4 with extension rings. The images were focus stacked with Zerene Stacker (sorry no FOSS :smiling_face_with_tear:) and developed in darktable using the “diffuse and sharpen” module preset “simulate line drawing”. It results in a quite interesting appearance, almost like a photorealistic drawing with a fine pencil.

Lovely tonality in the petals! Really liking the contrast.

how do you manage six handheld shots steady enough to stack?

Amazing image!

Try to keep the camera straight and hope for some random movement back and forth to get some potential to stack . It does not always work but often enough.
