Waveform problem

Hello,

I found a problem with the waveform diagram. The problem is with the overexposure (cut) display of the color channels. There is no problem with the brightness chart, it is as clearly visible as in Rawtherapee. The overexposure line on the red, green, and blue color channel diagram is so thin that it is not visible well enough even with a significant magnification of the histogram. In RawTherapee, this works well. The two histograms below were taken from the same image with RawTherapee and ART. The overexposed area is on the right side of the image.

Perhaps it would be better to return to the display used in RawTherapee for better visibility.

Operation system: Xubuntu 20.04
ART: 1.25.4

Hello,

I’m trying to be more understandable.

In the figure above, we can see waveform diagrams. In the image from which the diagrams were taken, I applied an exposure compensation of +12 Ev, so clipped each color channel. The waveform chart itself exited the chart area upwards due to exposure compensation.

The top left is a diagram of L, the top right is a diagram of R, the bottom left is a diagram of G, and the bottom right is a diagram of B.
The L diagram is fine, the clipping is clearly visible (the white line on top). In diagrams R, G, and B, the thin colored line is at the top of the diagram, but it is so thin that it can only be seen with a microscope.

My question is, is this the intended behavior? It would be good if the cut on the diagram of channels R, G and B were as clearly visible as in the diagram L.

Hi,
thanks for the report, I’ll look into it.

Thanks

should be better now

Thanks
