I’d find elegant to have title and alt parsed from the exif 
Maybe the concept of viewport can help you there.
You’re welcome, I learned more than I though there but the infos brought by yourself and @paperdigits have open my eyes (pun and bad humour intended), more seriously have given me an insight that I was missing (like many others).
