Weird issue Darktable and MacOS

I have a weird issue. My latest version on my M1 Mac was dt 5.2, running fine. Then I switched to Linux

I needed to run dt 5.5 recently so installed the latest dmg. After the usual security settings adjusted I opened darktable. No response. Just a jumping icon and then nothing.

Deleted everything from darktable (no need for the old library) including the hidden directories

Reinstalled the official 5.4.1. Same thing. Darktable won’t start. Commandline start just hangs as well, no output

I must be missing something.

Try renaming your configuration directory or your darktablerc file and see if it starts then

i got rid of all dt related files and reinstalled 5.5 nighly. After a while it started, something with opencl apparently.

but in the end it works now, unfortunately not for the Fujifilm X-T30 III
