Weird response to adding dark frame (Win10, ART v1.15)

Hi @agriggio

Adding a dark frame to an image gave me a weird result. Anyone else seen this?

Without:

With:

The ISO doesn’t match exactly (400 on scene, 100 on dark frame) but still unexpected  Files here:
R5BT6282.CR3 (33.6 MB)
R5BT6282.CR3.arp (11.6 KB)
R5BT100ISO10s.CR3 (17.9 MB)

Thanks for anything you can offer.

Barry

Looks like a bug, I’ll investigate. In the meantime can you try upgrading to 1.16?

Thanks

On my way  tvm

Upgraded to 1.16.2, same thing happens.

Hi, the dark frame and the shot have different black levels (512 for the df, 2047 for the picture). This is not really supported, you should use a dark frame that matches the picture (same ISO, same exposure, and ideally also same shooting conditions).

Can you try with a dark frame with the same shooting parameters as the picture? If you still get unexpected results, I will look into it, otherwise I’d consider this a non-issue.

Ahah, right, that’s great, thanks, will do. Cheers, B.
