Welcome to planet darktable: Tutorials, blogs and news from around the web

Added. Guess you didn’t show up when I searched for darktable on YouTube.

Thank you for adding Avid Andrew! Would it be helpful if I created an RSS feed specifically for just the darktable posts (not sure if this will be easier for Infoscope to parse)?

Added Kyle Axley.

Doesn’t really matter. I already filter on the presence of the word darktable in either the title or the part of the article that’s included in the feed.

I’m not 100% certain I use the word darktable in the brief description each time, so here’s a feed that should have everything:

Added Alex Alvarez, C.Satiro Fotografia and Dominik Kristen.

I switched to that feed for good measure, but there’s currently no neat way of excluding certain feeds from the filter. But I discovered that I had made a mistake in the filter definition, so now it seems most, if not all, of your blog posts are included, which they weren’t before.

Added Nicolas Tissot, PIXLS.US and Libre Arts.

I might still be able to dredge up some obscure channels on YouTube, I guess, but otherwise I really think that I have managed to add anything even remotely current now.

Well done – thanks!

Just want to also say thanks for the effort. It’s a really cool way to see what’s going on with darktable. And of course, thanks for adding my channel

Just updated to the latest version of Infoscope, so now there are different themes to choose from, with light and dark modes for each.

To change theme, click the little thingy in the upper left corner. And switch between light and dark mode in the upper right corner.

Great idea.

What’s the address for the RSS feed?

Thanks!

I know the manual and documentation are lagging a bit and we have a call out for assistance so this is a great resource to help bridge some of that and enhance what the manual can provide…

One suggestion … I think 4.8 is the most current posted version of the manual and the DT site still refers and links to the 4.6 version.

I’m not sure where or how to initiate updating that on the website but it might be worthwhile when people are directed to go look at it and i seems even older than it really is??

I can recommend this extension to get a button in the address bar when a feed is available:

This would probably be a better place to ask about that:

I think it is safe to say the manual release process is stopped.

We are working towards a rolling version of the manual that is just as close to bring up to date as possible. We stopped linking manuals because they were never completed. We also aren’t currently generating epub or PDF for the rolling version, nor do we have translations working since weblate’s server crashed.
