What can we do for ART?

When I decided to switch to Linux in the summer of 2017, my biggest difficulty was giving up Photoshop…
For image editing, I used my professional computer a lot to get by, until I got used to GIMP (which eventually happened).

On the other hand, for my RAW files, I had much less ease and pleasure using Darktable and RawTherapee than Photoshop, to the point of demotivating me from taking photos…
The discovery of ART was a wonderful discovery that gave me back the taste for photography, and the satisfaction of using free software that meets my needs made me forget forever the desire to go back to Adobe’s tool.

Thank you, Alberto, for your work!

It’s been over 4 years now that I’ve been co-administering the French-speaking forum for ART users, and the community is small but active and friendly!
We discuss various topics, including those you just mentioned.

Documentation/Wiki: For now, we were thinking of simply offering a translated version of the ART website, but we had discussed the idea of setting up a wiki tool. If needed, we can think about setting up a shared wiki that would manage multiple languages for the same article?
We have the server and the know-how to set it up if it can benefit the community.

Software name: Since I discovered ART, I’ve been thinking that YART could have, with one more letter, facilitated the referencing of the tool and fit into the tradition of Yet Another Software.
