What causes these vertical lines?

This is shot contre-jour so maybe the sensor is pushed trying to capture as much information as it can… is my assumption, but I really have no idea.

They’re present in the RAW file as well.

Is it the PDAF Lines filter?

Yes, PDAF lines filter is the first candidate, and in “moderate” cases it should be sufficient. If it is not enough, you can also enable a bit of “line noise filter” in mode “horizontal only on PDAF rows”
