sRBG is the web safe color profile 
As @paperdigits already said, the safest option is sRGB for web images. It’s less a question of what’s recommended for the forum, and more about what others may be looking at. The best we can hope for is the lowest-common-denominator…
That being said, I think if your browser is fully color managed, we had submitted a patch upstream a while ago to not strip the color information from uploads.
