What's the Adobe (LR/PS) equivalent of Darktable's "local contrast"

While talking to a Lightroom & Photoshop using friend this afternoon I recommended she try boosting local contrast on a photo, but she had never heard of it. I’ve never used LR / PS, so I have no idea what to point her at. The most relevant Google hits are from 2012/2013, and aren’t really useful anyways.

Anyone have some relatively simple suggestions?

Yep, as @betazoid said, I think clarity in Lr is the closest thing, albeit less flexible. Also, unsharp mask with a massive radius can do something similar.

I think the underlying technology is exactly identical (local laplacian pyramids), but the lr version was somewhat simplified in terms of sliders so it’s easier to use.
