What's the best backup strategy for darktable on Mac?

I am new to darktable so please forgive me for asking stupid questions.

I am pretty diligent about backups so I wonder what files I need to backup for darktable. Is it sufficient to backup the RAW files with corresponding XMP files or should I also backup the folder in /home/.config?

I’d also back up ~/.config.darktable it shouldn’t be too big. library.db holds the file records, and data.db holds presets, etc.

Better do both. After a database update there’s no back if you want to use older versions…
(dt3.4 crashes on some older macs where 3.2.1 worked fine…)
