I have a rotary (paper) trimmer.
Just found a video tutorial on how to
adjust it:
"Sometimes, the trimmer will need adjustment
(and then he drops it onto the concrete floor).
You realign it like this…"

Hopefully they don’t demonstrate lens adjustments the same way.

I once did a live stream demonstration of how to adjust the shutter on a Zenit without over-tightening it and breaking it. It went great, until I promptly proceeded to over-tighten it and break it. 
We have a saying around here for situations like these: Mae cachu yn digwydd.
