I know there is a previous post on this topic from 2021 where it was explained that it was only available for raw files (The darktable magicians have crafted something again - detail mask). I was trying to sharpen a scanned negative which was a tiff file and I was trying to reduce the grain (denoise) using the superior options in DT, but I was unable to apply a details threshold slider which compromised the results. I was wondering if there is any hope of this feature turning up in the future for non-raw files?
I’ve found the details slider is available if I save the file as a DNG instead of tiff.
