Windows 10 - DT creates export folder, fails to export file

On my (main) C: drive only I get this behavior from DT.

DT creates XMP for all raw files. All adjustments are preserved in the XMP files.

When I first export, the export folder is created, but a file is never exported. I have attached a screen shot of what I see in DT.

I can export files to for example Dropbox with no problem. Any idea what I need to tweak?

Thanks

Eric

you may have to populate the actual export folder. click on the folder symbol to the right of the _FOLDER/darktable_exported/…

Thanks, I get the same behavior as before. No joy. Permission on the folder are fine, for example, I can copy files into it. DT doesn’t want to write to it.

I notice that after I exit DT, I still see it running in Task Manager. Is it doing database maintenance and I should just let it run?

what is your target storage set to?
this is how my link looks like
image.

In my case darktable shuts down completely no left overs in task manager.
What version are you running?

I downloaded and reinstalled yesterday.

I copied the directories to another attached drive. Target storage is set to:

E:\2021-11-06\darktable_exported\$(FILE_NAME)

Same issue, and again, no problems running on a Dropbox folder.

Compare carefully your entry with mine:

I do have two \ ; you only have one \ in your directory name.
So again which way did you generate the “target storage”? I did by clicking on the “folder symbol” and then I navigated to the appropriate folder in the explorer window that popped up.

Selected the folder as you said. I think the double slash was lost in copy paste? Here is an image showing the double slashes:

I notice in task manager there is a child task of DT called gdbus.exe - is that involved in the export?

And thanks for helping me with this!
