Wingtip and propeller vortices at airshow

Here is an older image from an airshow in southern Germany in the year 2019. Not really a good one, neither technically nor artistically. The only interesting thing are the different contrails. The Hispano (a Messerschmitt with a british RR Merlin motor) shows them on the propeller tips while the much heavier and more powerful Thunderbolt shows them on the wingtips.
My lens was too short and is not really sharp.

I tried my best to make it look better but with only little success.

Here is my edit. I wanted to see the plane details more. It is also an occassion I decided to work with filmic rather than sigmoid to maximise my control over the blacks and the whites. I thought sharpness was OK in my view. Interesting capture, thanks for sharing.

I wrecked it…sorry. I like the vortices and wanted to focus more on those, so I cropped heavy on the plane on the right, then played with the Tone eq and Contrast eq with a mask to try to isolate it more.
The intent was there but the execution was poor.
Great shot though…that would have been really cool to see in person.

Cool!

You discovered two spots on my sensor! Time to use my pinhole “lens” which is always very frustrating :scream:
