I don’t feel I have done a great edit here, but processing this image made me wonder about the amount of color in your edit. Was there really that much color in the original scene?

No. The Sony jpg is pretty close. I remember the sky being a bit more blue than as-shot. But, otherwise, the bridge, grass, and rocks are spot-on.
My attempt with the edit was to separate the elements using color. I pulled the bridge a bit more red and the grass a bit more green.
Couldn’t come up with much different, but then though a monochrome treatment might be nice …
