Winter in the park

Yesterday we had a little bit of winter in the Ruhr area, I went to Volkspark Langendreer for this photo.

Great photograph. Unfortunately I was unable to open the RAW ORF file, I got an EOF error.
Downloaded the jpg. An experiment in GIMP of a different way to make the colours of the tree “pop”. Probably grossly overdone!

The “OM Digital Solutions OM-1 Camera Monotone R Filter.dcp” profile from the free “AdobeDNGConverter_x64_17_1.exe” was used. I accidentally installed it for completely different purposes, and there were many working profiles there (C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw …).

Used exclusion layer (dup first) and then additional dup on top layer set to lighten) to fake a flash. Used gradient sharpening (G’MIC) and some other things for the result.
