would just like to put my custom curves back in gimp...but completely forgot the process

so tool options should be under Users? I don’t see it…there’s tool presets in gimp 2\lib\gimp\2.0\tool-presets

Is the folder hidden? You might have to change your folder options to reveal hidden files and folders.

no, it’s under my name (under gimp, of course)…and is not a hidden file

aha…found it!! …sorry, was in an old file :flushed: …so is it best to open in windows or use gimp

I’m not sure what you are asking. You have found the file “gimp-curves-tool.settings” that Gimp uses to store curves, yes? And that file doesn’t have any curves because of the upgrade? And you have a backup of that file?

Then rename the file to be something else, then copy from the backup to the file. I don’t think you can do that from inside Gimp. You can do it from Windows. (I would use a command console, but you might prefer an Explorer window.)

my apologies, I was being dumb at the time…should have erased that! I think I have it down by using 7-zip…but thank you for answering anyway!
