Yellow tree in spring

I found this tree while walking in a forest close to home. It called my attention because of the yellow/orange leaves in the sea of green (it was the end of spring).

I tried to emphasize the orange color and remove some chroma and exposure from the rest to make it stand out from the surroundings, but without looking too artificial. Any further ideas?

Perhaps you don’t want to crop, but here’s my vision.

Thank you all for your versions of the image. It’s interesting that most renditions tend to saturate the colors.

@Thomas_Do nice crop, it looks almost abstract

@Underexposed also nice crop, I didn’t thought originally to go so tight on the tree.

@dqpcoxeas nice colors, although I would desaturate the greens to emphasize the orange

my version…

GIMP. I played with the red, blue and green curves to try and bring out the colours of the tree and a slight crop to get the tree trunk on the left to frame the picture.
